PSAGOT Alternative (9)

We believe that the internet should be available and accessible to everyone, regardless of circumstances and ability. To achieve this, we strive to adhere as strictly as possible to the web content accessibility guidelines. Adhering to these guidelines helps us ensure that the site is accessible to all users.

The site was designed and built to be adapted to all users according to the requirements of the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities Regulations (Accessibility Adjustments for Service), 2013, the recommendations of the Israeli Standard (SI 5568), and according to the  Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) level AA.

Information about site accessibility

Keyboard Users Adaptation

  1. The site is adapted for keyboard navigation: you can navigate it using the Tab and Shift + Tab keys, operate menus and selection fields with the arrow keys, and close them with the Esc key. You can activate buttons and links using the Enter key, navigate between radio elements and checkboxes using the arrow keys, and fill them using the spacebar or Enter key.
  2. The compatibility of the visual order of items and their order in the navigation using the TAB key has been checked.
  3. The focus mark when using the keyboard is clear and prominent.
  4. You can skip to the main part of each page using a skip link at the top of the page.

Screen Reader Adaptation

  1. The site is written semantically, with standard HTML tags and content hierarchy. In addition, ARIA attributes (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) are implemented on the site to ensure that users who rely on screen readers can read, understand, and use the site.
  2. Images contain alternative text that provides information about the content of the image.
  3. The site is compatible with all popular screen readers, including JAWS and NVDA.

Additional Adaptations

  1. The site meets text contrast requirements to ensure that all users can read it easily. There is no exclusive use of color to convey a message.
  2. Adjustments have been made for users sensitive to movement and blinking. You can stop the background video at the top of the site by clicking the stop button.

Tests and Compatibility

  1. We strive to support as wide a range of browsers and assistive technologies as possible so that site users can choose the tools that best suit them, with as few limitations as possible.
  2. We support all major browsers, including Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari, and Microsoft Edge.
  3. The site’s accessibility has been tested on Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox browsers.
  4. The site’s accessibility has been tested with NVDA and TalkBack screen readers.

Information about Inaccessible Components

  1. Despite the significant efforts we have made to enable everyone to adapt the site to their needs, there may still be pages or sections that are not fully accessible, are in the process of being made accessible, or lack an adequate technological solution to make them accessible.
  2. Among other things, some articles may appear as images.
  3. We will be happy to assist you and provide accessible solutions for any content on the site – please contact us on this matter.
